Film critic and presenter Mark Kermode explores the fascination and praise audiences, fans and critics have behind the classic The Shawshank Redemption (1994) and how its importance grew higher over the years despite being an overlooked film when it was released and not getting any Oscars victories when it was nominated as one of the Best Pictures of the Year.

Imprisoned in the 1940s for the double murder of his wife and her lover, upstanding banker Andy Dufresne begins a new life at the Shawshank prison, where he puts his accounting skills to work for an amoral warden. During his long stretch in prison, Dufresne comes to be admired by the other inmates -- including an older prisoner named Red -- for his integrity and unquenchable sense of hope.

This movie documents the era surrounding the creation, marketing and distribution of the influential horror film, "Creature From the Black Lagoon," and the two sequels that followed. Flash forward 60 years later, and we see how the legion of fans continue to grow for this classic horror character, and how the movie is still relevant today.

Following collaborations on smash hit Paramount sequel Top Gun: Maverick and the forthcoming Formula 1 pic F1 for Apple and Warner Bros, director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer are eyeing a reteam on a hot new package out to the town. 　　We’re told that the as-yet-untitled project is akin to a UFO disclosure-themed take on All the President’s Men, the classic 1976 political thriller from Alan J. Pakula. At least nine bids for the project are in around town from suitors like Amazon, Skydance, Lionsgate, Sony, Warner Bros, Paramount, 20th, Apple and Universal.

The story of three Korean outlaws in 1930s Manchuria and their dealings with the Japanese army and Chinese and Russian bandits. The Good (a bounty hunter), the Bad (a hitman), and the Weird (a thief) battle the army and the bandits in a race to use a treasure map to uncover the riches of legend.
